This Week's Gold is a curated collection of gold I pick up as I travel around the Internet each week. I share it to help you create a healthy business and life. You can follow via Feedly (simply add tobusinessowners.com to your feed) to ensure you don't miss out on any gold.
THIS WEEK'S GOLD:
- I found some solid marketing ideas on One Woman Shop's Creative Marketing Pinterest board (which I found from this post). I especially valued the 3 Types of Events Solopreneurs Can Organize To Grow Their Brand and 75 ideas for how to market your business on a small budget that I found on the board.
- I don't think we truly live unless we're vulnerable. Being vulnerable is scary, but it's the way to fully serve others, which is the most beautiful way to live. I'm also a hypocrite and seek to protect myself too much, which is why I appreciated Amanda's encouragement (and vulnerability) in Oh Hey Vulnerability- I See You!
- Why Is It So Difficult To Disconnect? by Kristiana Monterosso highlights why we have a difficult time disconnecting from social media as well as the benefits of doing so. Such a good reminder.
- There's always a problem with following trends - they're trends. Following fads is not a strategy by Ken McCarthy gets to the heart of it with a simple commercial share - concise, amusing and insightful.
